many people who study at university do go in research which would also interest me (I'd have to do a Phd) but the people I worked with were kinda unreliable
there aren'r really many occupations availble, some people also work in zoos but there aren't many spots...
I know teaching at that level can be rough.
I know at least one of my best professors was teaching at a community college to avoid a lot of the BS in 4 yr institutions.
Oh I enjoy photography, counted needle work (don't do much now that I wear bifocals can't see well enough to do fine stuff any more) and my biggest passion is rocks and minerals.
I understand the problem with a degree in Philosophy or History about the only thing you can use them for is teaching at a college level
