(This is a roleplaying club. The following may be a bit wall-of-text-ish, but you will have to read it if you want to make good posts and all that stuff.)

Hello, and a good day to all of you! My name is Fang, and I lead this Ranger Base.

About our organisation
Welcome to the one and only Johto Ranger Base, better known as Ranger Headquarters, or Ranger HQ for short. This base is located in Johto, Ecruteak City.
Currently, we aren't all that well known. That's because we only recently started out.
We also got a small base located in Sinnoh, Snowpoint City. They only have about two active Rangers there, so we will ocasionally send some of our Rangers there to help them.

What we do
As you all know, we, Pokemon Rangers, are here to protect the Pokemon and nature from disasters, evil, and so on. In doing so, we often need the aid of a trustworthy partner. That is why you may start out with one partner pokemon.
If something has happened, you will get a mission assigned to you. They are ranked, starting with the easiest ones, from F to A. After A comes S, which is the highest, most toughest difficulty level.
The difficulty of missions you may get is determined by your rank, which I will explain in a few seconds.

Ranks
Yes, now about ranks. When you first start out as a Ranger you are at the New Ranger rank. From there, you slowly work your way up to the top. You can do this by completing a lot of missions. When you have a higher rank, you are allowed to do more things. On higher ranks, you are even allowed to have multiple partner Pokemon!
All the different ranks and their benefits are listed below

Great Ranger | E, D, C and B ranked missions | All of the above + Have one of your partner pokemon being looked after at the HQ.*
Super Ranger | E, D, C, B and A ranked missions | All of the above + Have two of your partner pokemon being looked after at the HQ.*
Elite Ranger | E, D, C, B, A and S ranked missions | All of the above + Take three partner pokemon with you, and have three looked after at the HQ.*
Ranger Admin** | Depends on Rank | Depends on Rank + Allowed to test/accept new Rangers and post new missions.
Ranger Leader** | E, D, C, B, A and S ranked missions | Depends on Rank + Ban Rangers + Be the big boss (do everything).

* = Because this may cause confusion, I'm going into detail about it here. Once you are at the Super Ranger rank, you are allowed to leave a partner Pokemon behind at the HQ. Don't worry, they'll be in good hands. But now that you are traveling with an empty space in your party, you are allowed to find another Pokemon to be your partner. For short, to calculate the amount of partner Pokemon you are allowed, take the maximum amount of partner Pokemon to take with you and add the total amount of Pokemon you are allowed to leave at the HQ.

** = These are two very special ranks. I'll start with the Ranger Leader ranks, since that's the easiest one. I, myself, am the Ranger Leader. I am allowed to do pretty much everything. Take on any rank of mission, post new missions, accept new Rangers and ban Rangers that have been misbehaving. But to make things a little bit more fair, I, too, will follow the Rank system for a bit. My extra benefits are determined by my Rank, based on the amount of missions I have completed.
A Ranger Admin is a special Ranger, assigned by the Ranger Leader. A Ranger Admin's mission capability depends on his/her rank, and so do most of the extra benefits. They are, however, allowed to post new missions and accept new Rangers.

Becoming a Ranger
What, you ask? You want to know how to become a Ranger? That's a fairly easy task. If you pay attention, that is.
Let's start out by filling in the paperwork. Yes, you heard it right. Paperwork. It may not be a very fun task, but it is something that must be done if you want us to get everything nice and organized.

Once you've filled it in, and a Ranger Admin or Leader has added you to the Ranger List, you are officially a Ranger!
Don't dance yet, though. You still are at the New Ranger rank, and thus aren't allowed to do a lot. A Ranger Admin or Leader will have to test you at your worth of becoming a Ranger. He/she assigns you to a special qualification mission. This one is always of the F rank.
Once you completed it a Ranger Admin or Leader will see how you did. If he/she thinks you did well enough, you will be promoted to the Rookie Ranger rank, giving you new possibilities.

Rules
• You should follow these rules.
• All standard PI Rules.
• Please make your missions at least two posts long.
• Please be sure that your posts aren't too short.
• Don't quote your whole previous post on that mission. Quoting the last tiny part of it is allowed, but don't quote too much.
• You should listen to and have respect for the Ranger Admins and Leaders.
• When you're not on a mission you're free to do as you like. Travel to Kanto or mine in the underground or something, but make sure you return soon, because these missions won't do themselves!
• It would be very appriciated if the Rangers could advertise the Ranger HQ in their signatures.

Other details about the Partner Pokemon: While walking one day, I found the Eevee bleeding after he had a fight with a ferocious Houndoom. I took him to the nearest Pokecenter to heal him, which took about 2 days. When I took him from the Pokecenter and decided to set him free, he refused, and started to growl and lick me joyfully. I then decided to make him my partner Pokemon, and we two developed a very strong bond over many years...

'Welcome, Shadow, Eevee.' I said, carrying Aron on my shoulder. 'So, are you up to the task of being a real Pokemon Ranger?'
'I sure hope so!' Shadow said with a smile.
'Very well then.' I said. 'To see if you're worthy of becoming a Ranger, I must first test your capabilities. This will be done during a simple mission. That mission is the following.'

Description: Recently we received a letter from a man from Mahogany Town, asking us if we wanted to deliver a special package to his old friend in Olivine City. Your job is to take the package and bring it to this man's friend. He lives in the lighthouse. Since there has been no criminal activity lately, this should be a piece of cake. Although you should avoid the Miltank at the farm on Route 38, which have been acting violent for an unknown reason.

'Yes, it's an easy delivery mission. Nothing much what can go wrong here.'
I handed Shadow the package. 'We don't know what's inside, so be carefull. Well, I wish you the best of luck!'
'Thank you sir!' Shadow said, as he and his Eevee headed off.

Other details about the Partner Pokemon: When I was walking I found a damaged Dratini who could no longer swim, I picked her up and cured her. She was happy that I cured her and quickly had a bond with me. She started to follow me. I tried to tell her to go back to where she came from nicely, but no matter how nice I asked her, she refused to go away.
I decided to be nice and let her be a friend Pokémon and never release her ever. Or to let her be my partner. I decided to make her my partner Pokémon. She was happy to be my partner and she is always there for me.

'Ah, welcome! Looks like there's yet another person, realizing how important it is to keep nature natural!' I laughed. 'So, you've come here to become a Ranger, right?'
'Yes, sir.' the girl said.
'A tad bit young, don't you think Aron?'
The little fellow was sitting on my shoulder, like usual.
'Aron! Ron, aron!' He yelled into my ear.
'Yeah, you're right. It isn't age that matters, it's the power of your will to protect Pokemon and Nature!'
I smiled.
'Now, follow me, so I can get you a starting mission.'

While I explained her the mission, Aron was playing with Sea Dragon, her Dratini.

'Here is your first mission.' I said, as I handed her a sheet of paper.

Description: Professor Elm, from Newbark Town, recently contacted us that he had done a discovery on how the legendary dog Pokemon Entei is born. He put all his discoveries on that matter in a parcel. We want you to recieve the parcel from Professor Elm, and bring it back to us. It's quite a travel to Newbark Town, but if you take the route through Azalea Town, you should be fine. Ice Cave has been having a Delibird trouble recently, so that's why you should avoid taking that route.

I Should do the mission now. O_o.

As I was walking with my partner Pokemon Dratini detected something...It was this frozen cave I was told not to go in there so I backed away. I was then zapped by Dratini which brought me to Azalea town. I walked through and go to Professor Elm's lab. He gave me a parcel I walked back to the ranger base and I gave them the parcel, my mission was cleared. I was proud.

Glitched Soul and her Dratini came back to the Ranger HQ.

'Oh, there you are already! That was quick.' I said.
I quickly looked through Elm's discoveries.
'Oh!' I said surprised. 'He gave you the wrong parcel! You better return this, and get the right one.'

Later that day I walked past the MissionBoard. I immediatly noticed the red-colored mission.

Name: BLARG (Big, Large, Amphibiatic and Rampaging Gastrodon)
Description: Sinnoh is in big danger! A giant Gastrodon came out of the lake and is now making its way to Hearthome City! We don't know the excact details about it yet, but if Hearthome City isn't evacuated quickly, all people will be squished to death by this enormous monster! First, go to Solaceon Town. There, a Ranger from the Snowpoint Ranger base named Dave will be waiting with his Ambipom. He may be a Super Ranger, but he can't do this on his own! Team up with Dave and evacuate the city, while at the same time you try to take down the slimy monster!
Starting Location: Sinnoh, Solaceon Town
Difficulty: B

Red-colored ones usually mean they are pretty urgent, so I quickly read through it and made my way to Sinnoh.

In front of Solaceon Town's Pokecenter was a tall, blond-haired boy. An Ambipom was standing next to him.
'You must be Fang.' he said. 'What took you so long?'
'Sorry,' I said. 'But I had bussiness to do, so I didn't look at the mission board.'
'It's okay. But we better hurry. I'll give you the details wile we're on the move.'

Dave told me that it probably was a Gastrodon used in experiments by some evil team. Nobody knows the location of their base, nor is their name known.

Once we arrived in Hearthome City we immeditaly started evacuating.
A lot of houses were destroyed and even the Hearthome Gym didn't stand anymore.

'Fang, over here! We need your help!'
Dave was calling for me. He was standing in front of a destroyed house. You could hear a kid cring inside.
'I and Ambipom can't lift this roof on our own!' he yelled. 'The kid is probably stuck underneath it! Help lift it, will ya!'
We tried our best, but still couldn't lift it.
'Aron, it's your turn now!' I said. 'Use Iron Head to bash away that roof!'

Aron's head started glowing slightly, and he bashed into the fallen roof. The roof then flew into the air and landed on the destroyed Gym.
'Good going Aron!' I said to him, and put him back on my shoulder.
'That's quite a powerfull little fella you have their, mate.' Sven complimented.
'Thanks, but now is not the time to be saying that!' I said. 'You go bring the kid to safety, I'll try to do something about the Gastrodon!'
'Roger that!' he said, and ran of with Ambipom holding the kid.

The slimy monster was huge, and it seemed impossible to stop, but I had to think of something. I had to safe the people.

I started walking confidentally with my Eevee beside me. I knew the track was long and tiring, but the power of confidence in myself pushed me forward. The package was heavy, and seemed to be loaded with something valuable. But that was none of my business anyway.
After walking through the beautiful streets of Ecruteak, I made it out of the city, and route 38 came into sight shortly. However, I was a bit frightened at the Miltank which was acting really ferociously. It came into sight straight after I started walking through the route. It was trapped in a farm surrounded by wooden fences, and it was up to no good apparently. It was crying loudly as if it was in pain, and stomping on the ground forcefully. My Eevee clutched to my leg out of fear, and I could easily feel his shivering. I held him with my hands, and comforted him too with sentences like: "Don't be afraid. Everything's gonna be alright."
When I walked beside the Miltank's farm, a sudden surge of fear aroused deep inside of me, and I paused walking for a moment. Then I remembered how I comforted my Eevee, and I thought to myself that I would appear as a liar if I, myself, am frightened of it. I also remembered this was the mission to determine if I am ready to become a true Ranger. With all these encouragements, I started walking through my way.
The Miltank seemed to have settled after all, for it didn't budge an inch when I was walking, and I soon made my way out of route 38 and into route 39. My Eevee was delighted and started growling happily, while my confidence in myself increased even more. Route 39 was beset by lush greenery on both sides, and its air was fresh to breathe. Everything seemed to be fine, and I became happy when the thought of clearing this mission successfully crossed my mind.
Finally, Olivine City came into sight, and most noticeably the great lighthouse. I already started feeling tired, but this was no time to give up. I headed towards the lighthouse wearily, with my Eevee following me. I could make out his facial marks of pain, but I could do nothing but cheer him up, and hold him frequently.
After continuous walking, the lighthouse's door was right infront of me, and I made my way in already. A brilliant staircase led into the place where the man was sitting. I climbed the stairs and soon I was close to the man. I walked a few steps when the man turned his head and saw me. He greeted me, and he immediately knew I was the Pokemon Ranger who was supposed to deliver the mail from my clothes.
"Hello, Ranger. I am John."
"Here, sir. This mail's for you." I said.
"Thanks a lot. Convey my greetings to your leader."
With these words I was certain my mission was done. I smiled and went down the stairs and out of the lighthouse. The journey of getting back to Ecruteak City was long and tiring, but this time it seemed less tiring as I was filled with the thoughts of success and utter pride. After a 30-minutes walk I came across the furious Miltank, but this time it was sleeping. I walked silently, with my Eevee beside me. Soon after we were done crossing the 'dangerous zone'. Another 35 minutes and I was in Ecruteak City, and I headed straight towards the Headquarters. Yes! My mission was finally done!

A young male walked into the Ranger HQ.

'I'd like to become a Ranger!' he said immiditaly.
I smiled. 'Yet another new Ranger. Looks like te bussuiness is finally rolling.'

'Anyhoo, here is your first mission.' I said, and handed him a sheet of paper.

Description: The medic in the Medicine Store, located in Cianwood City, made a new invention. It's basicly a stronger version of the Shell Bell. Your mission is to go to Cianwood City, get the item from the medic and bring it to the Ranger HQ for testing. There is a small boat in Olivine City which you can use. But be sure to avoid the Whirl Islands, since there have been a lot of strong whirlpools there lately!

Look'n good! But I do have a few small tips for you.
Try using more some empty spaces, like I do during my missions.
Also, a mission must last at least two posts. But since you did such a good job, I won't see it this time ;D

But it was dissapointing that you weren't attacked by a Miltank. That could've led to interesting situations!
But yeah, you succeeded. Good job!

Shadow now is an official Rookie Ranger!
He can now do E and D ranked missions!
Keep up the great work!

I and Aron ran towards the Gastrodon.
'Aron, use screech!' Aron did as he was told, and screamed at a very high tone.
'Great, now he should be weaker!' I said. 'Now use Metal Claw!'
Aron jumped up in the air. His right front leg started glowing, and he dealt a large amount of damage to the big slug.
Then something weird started happening

The Gastrodon shrunk down in size a little bit! Apparently doing damage to it destroyed some of the massive-size cells!

After Aron had done a few Metal Claw attacks and even a few Iron Tail attacks the Gastrodon was only half the size of its original.
Aron was really tired, though.
Luckily, Dave came back.

'The whole town is evacuated.' he said. 'Now where is that mon-'
He looked confused.
'Is that it? I thought it was a lot bigger…'
'Yes,' I said. 'It was. But damaging it also damages the stuff that keeps it so big. Aron is dead tired, though.'
'Don't worry, Ambipom can finish the job for you.' he said, and commanded ambipom to do a Double Hit.

The Gastrodon now shrunk quicker than it did before. Apparently, Dave's Ambipom had a huge attack stat.

After some more attacking, the gastrodon finally regained its natural size.
'Thanks Dave.' I said.
'No, thank you! Without you I wouldn't have found out about damaging the stuff that keeps it so big.' he said, and we both smiled.
'I think it'd be better if you take the Gastrodon with you Dave, since Snowpoint's Ranger Base is said to have the most advanced medical equipment. You should be able to find out quite a bit of stuff if you do proper research.'
'I was just about to say that!' Dave said.

We chatted for a while, and then we both went our seperate ways again.

Back at the Ranger HQ, I filled in a report on what happened.

It was a MISSION COMPLETE!

I then went to bed for a well earned rest.
