Default How Would You Defend Against This Set?

I had this used on me:

Subsitute
Trapping Move (Mean Look and Infestation)
Perish Song
Roost.

The Pokémon would use Substitute. Then Mean Look. I would hit it with a move that would break Substitute. It would use it again. Then it would use Perish Song. Then Roost. Then switch out on the last turn before Perish Song fainted up both.

I couldn't switch out on the last move because he hadn't switched yet.

How would you defend t against this?

The only advice I can think of is to add Pokemon to your team that will hit the opposing Pokemon with that move set pretty hard. What Pokemon did you encounter with that move set?

I remember losing to someone's Celebi with a similar combination of moves, and a Bug-Type Pokemon would have done wonders. Especially Scizor with Swords Dance + Bullet Punch, so that it can't use Substitute again before you hit it.

I was hitting hit hard enough to break the Substitute but it would just use Substitute again then Roost bring it back to full health.

I couldn't find a way to get through the Substitute in one hit.
Leech seed didn't work.

Ghost types can still switch through mean look trapping in gen 6 if my memory is correct. So I'd use a Gengar or another offensive ghost type.

If they can escape through infestation, however I do not know.

Ah okay. Thanks
Didn't think of that.
I know the Gourgiest I had with me would have been attacked by Infestation being Ghost/Grass.

Could've used a Pokémon with Disable on Roost or Subsitute
